Assistant Manager, Professional Competence Development

Reporting to a Senior Manager of PCD, the colleague will assist in the development of the Professional Qualification Programmes.  The colleague will actively participate in driving programme stakeholder engagement initiatives as well as be involved in the development of content material.  In doing so, the colleague will engage with relevant external stakeholders including academics, content providers and banking professionals.  He/she will also work closely with the relevant internal departments and teams in terms of operational execution. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate and collaborate with external stakeholders of the Professional Qualification Programmes, including academics, content providers, tertiary institutions, regulators, industry bodies, university students and banking professionals
  • Assist in providing continuous feedback on the content of the Professional Qualification Programmes to ensure material is current and topical 
  • Monitor and analyse enrolment information / data related to the Professional Qualification Programmes utilising MS Excel or other software tools to assist in devising and implementing promotion plan
  • Coordinate with internal departments in order to facilitate the effective execution of promotion initiatives
  • Assist in the compilation of information to produce internal returns and reports
  • Assist in the formulation of MS PowerPoint presentations for internal reporting or external presentation purposes
  • Ensure awareness of the latest banking industry trends relevant to training or professional competence development needs
  • Ensure familiarity with the Professional Qualification Programmes details and specifications, remaining current on any updates or enhancements, in order to maintain effective, professional communication with internal/external stakeholders  
  • Assist in projects or ad hoc tasks relevant to the Professional Competence Development team, as appropriate

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder or above; major in Business, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained from banking or finance industry or training / program development
  • Good understanding of the overall structure of the banking industry; basic knowledge of banking products and services would be an advantage 
  • Energetic, self-motivated, good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attentive to details, with the ability to multitask independently within tight timelines 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Chinese typing
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage 
  • Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Senior Officer, as appropriate
