Organisation Structure

Acting as an advisor to the Executive Committee, the Council sets medium- to long-term strategies and goals and advises on the development of the HKIB. The Executive Committee is the governing body of the HKIB. Supported by the Secretariat, it is responsible for overseeing the management of the HKIB, including the development of training programmes, the awarding of qualifications and the formation of partnerships with other industry bodies in Hong Kong and overseas. Both the Council and the Executive Committee are represented by seasoned professionals, regulators and leaders of the banking and financial community in Hong Kong.

Six Sub-Committees/Boards have been established to oversee specific areas, and report and make recommendations to the Executive Committee.
