Eligibility
To stay connected with the banking and financial community, ‘Non-Bank Financial Institutions’ and ‘Relevant Service Providers’ are eligible to apply for Corporate Affiliates. Although Corporate Affiliates do not enjoy voting rights at the AGM or EGM, they are eligible to enjoy the same benefits offered to Corporate Members. Your employees will have the opportunity to join HKIB events and training programmes at preferential rates.
Non-Bank Financial Institutions
- refers to an entity that is primarily engaged in the provision of financial services or the conduct of financial services and includes an insurer, a licensed corporation, trust companies and financial market participants (excludes bank).
Relevant Service Providers
- refers to organisations who provide educational, professional and business support services relevant to the banking and financial community (except those who provide services contrary to HKIB’s objectives). Relevance shall therefore be determined by whether the said service provider can provide services that enhance the HKIB’s objectives. Such organisations shall include, but not be limited to, accounting firms, law firms, information technology providers, etc.
Applications for Corporate Affiliates are reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee of HKIB. Interested entities are requested to return the completed application form, together with supporting documentation, a one-off registration fee of HKD4,550 and the applicable annual fee for the current calendar year, to HKIB. Non-renewal Corporate Affiliates who fail to pay the annual fees must apply for reinstatement and settle the current year’s annual fee and the re-registration fee of HKD4,550 if they want to re-join HKIB Corporate Affiliates.
Corporate Affiliate runs from 1 July to 30 June in each calendar year. The annual fees are currently set according to employee numbers in four categories:
- HKD19,850 for 100 employees or below
- HKD67,800 for between 101 and 1,000 employees
- HKD135,800 for between 1,001 and 5,000 employees
- HKD271,500 for more than 5,000 employees
For corporations registered outside Hong Kong, an annual fee of HKD19,850 applies, regardless of employee numbers.
